Polyester
Polyester is a fantastic material with many advantages. It is strong, durable, and resistant to wrinkles, shrinking, and stretching. With the right care, your polyester clothing will retain its shape and appearance for many years.
If your clothing doesn’t have stains or odors after wear, we recommend airing it out to freshen it up. When washing is necessary, use a low temperature (maximum 30°C) and a gentle cycle. Hang the clothing to dry instead of using a dryer, as this extends its lifespan.
Avoid overloading the washing machine, and do not use fabric softeners or bleach, as these can damage the fibers and the environment.
Denim
Denim has been popular for many years, and most wardrobes contain at least one denim item. Denim is a timeless material that remains stylish regardless of new trends.
Frequent washing can cause color fading and a worn appearance. We recommend only washing your denim if it is visibly dirty or has an odor.
When washing denim (or any clothing), always turn it inside out and close all buttons and zippers. Wash it with similar colors to prevent color transfer onto other fabrics.
Allow your denim to air dry rather than using a dryer. Hang it outside in the shade to preserve its color and avoid sun bleaching.
Viskose
Viscose is a soft and lightweight material with a beautiful drape and smooth feel, similar to silk but more affordable. Handle it with care to keep your viscose clothing looking vibrant and in good condition. Avoid washing it too often unless it is visibly dirty. Washing at the wrong temperature or cycle can cause the fabric to lose its shape and shrink.
As viscose can wrinkle easily, we recommend washing it at a low temperature, filling the machine moderately, and using a gentle wash cycle.
After washing, hang the garment on a quality hanger rather than folding it. If creases appear, gently steam the garment to remove them. If you choose to iron it, always iron on the reverse side to protect the fabric.
WOOL
Wool has been a beloved and valued material for generations. It is naturally self-cleaning, so you only need to wash wool clothing when it is visibly dirty. We recommend wearing a t-shirt or top underneath your wool garments to absorb body odors.
To freshen up your wool items, hang them outdoors in the shade on a broad hanger, but never hang them when wet, as this can distort their shape. Instead, dry wool clothing flat on a surface with a towel underneath to absorb moisture.
Store wool items folded or rolled in a ventilated closet. Hanging can cause them to lose their shape.
Use only detergents made for wool. Avoid hot water, bleach, and fabric softeners, as they can damage the fibers. After washing, gently press out excess water—do not wring, as this can deform the garment. Dry flat, and use steam to remove wrinkles.
Some types of wool can be machine-washed, while others require hand washing. Always follow the care instructions that come with each garment.
To protect against moths, you can use cedar blocks or lavender sachets in your closet.
LEATHER
Leather is a natural material known for its durability, and with proper care, it can last a lifetime. Do not wash leather clothing, and avoid exposing it to rain, as this can cause it to wrinkle and the color to bleed. If it gets dirty, gently wipe it with a damp cloth—do not rub vigorously. If necessary, have your leather professionally cleaned by a specialist.
Do not store leather clothing folded, as this can damage its appearance. Hang it on a broad, quality hanger in a well-ventilated area to maintain its shape.
Avoid high temperatures, as they can cause the leather to dry out.
SILK
Silk is a delicate material known for its beauty and fluid drape. It has been a staple in our collections for many years and is often used for special occasions.
Silk clothing should be gently hand-washed. When wet, be careful to maintain the garment’s proportions. Since silk is a natural protein, it should not be washed with regular detergent. Instead, use an enzyme-free detergent designed explicitly for silk and other animal fibers.
Avoid spraying perfume directly on silk, and ensure your deodorant is dry before putting on the garment to prevent staining.
COTTON
Cotton is one of the most widely used materials in the fashion industry and is valued for its versatility. It is soft, breathable, durable, and comfortable. All our cotton garments are made from high-quality cotton to ensure they last in your wardrobe.
Cotton is also hypoallergenic, making it gentle on the skin and less likely to cause irritation or allergic reactions.
To keep your cotton clothing in good condition, we recommend the following:
- Wash at a low temperature on a gentle cycle. Hot water can cause cotton to shrink and fade, while lower temperatures help preserve color and shape.
- Use mild detergents, as harsh detergents can damage cotton fibers.
- Avoid bleach, as it can weaken fibers and cause yellowing.
- Dry on low heat or air dry. High heat can cause cotton to shrink and wrinkle.
- When ironing, use low heat and iron on the reverse side to avoid damaging the fabric.
