stella nova
visiting my fournais
Trine: HEY MY… YOU HAVE WORKED AS A STYLIST AND HAVE DONE SO FOR MANY YEARS; AMONG OTHERS FOR THOMAS BLACHMANN’S TEAM ON THE SHOW X-FACTOR, BUT NOW YOU HAVE STARTED SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW… DO YOU WANNA TELL ME MORE ABOUT THAT?
My: Yes, I have started at the Facereading-education, hosted by my mentor, who’s name is Fattima Loreen. Facereading is a mixture of traditional Chinese medicine and a spiritual practice. It originates from China, all the way to when the emperor had concubines, who only he could touch. Back then they developed it as a way to diagnose the concubines when they were ill, and that became the start of facereading. It is only by looking at their face that they would diagnose, and thereby understand their strengths and weaknesses. In our time is has developed in different directions, and have been used as a way for both the CIA and FBI to spot terrorists, so now it is recognised in the west as well, and no longer looked upon as this mystical Eastern practice.
Trine: THAT IS AN EXCITING TOOL. HOW HAVE YOU COME INTO CONTACT WITH IT?
My: It is through my mentor Fattima, who I have known almost all my life. She has been taught by Lillian Bridges, who comes from a family with a rich tradition through many generations of practicing facereading, and has brought it up to date with the versions seen in Europe. It is a version where we solely focus on working with the clients potential and with taking a positive approach to it. This means, we work with the client’s possibility to create success and this can, for example, be both in their working life, their love life or in other areas where they wish to develop
themselves.
Trine: WHAT MADE YOU MAKE THE JUMP TO PERDUE AN EDUCATION?
My: I have known Fattima more or less all my life and she has helped me as an advisor in many situations and so it was natural for me to follow her and be a part of her spiritual education… It felt natural to make that choice, largely because of her. I also felt very ready for it to happen now, since I have gone through some very big shifts over the past two years, and have needed to connect myself more to my purpose. But that is a very demanding process… It is very exciting, and there are loads of things that feel like a huge gift, but simultaneously you have to be prepared to do the work with yourself and your own trauma and dark sides, that inner work is tough.
Trine: IS THAT SOMETHING YOU NEED TO BE READY FOR… IT’S PROBABLY NOT A QUICK FIX?
My: Exactly… We have, for example, just been to a retreat for 4 days… And it sounds very
fabulous to say, but it is 4 intense days where we look inwards and confront our deepest issues while being in a space to process it, and also to learn to hold that space for others.
Trine: THAT IS EXCITING… ARE YOU THINKING OF STOPPING AS A STYLIST?
My: No no… But I have worked with clothes, fashion and image/looks for more than 12 years - and although it is so much fun and I have felt so privileged, it’s not a complete goodbye, but I definitely felt the need to go deeper.
Trine: I UNDERSTAND THAT VERY WELL, AND EVEN THOUGH I LOVE WHAT I DO, AND THERE ARE MANY LAYERS TO WHY YOU DRESS THE WAY YOU DO AND THAT IN AND OF ITSELF IS AN INTERESTING STUDY SOCIOLOGICALLY, THEN I CAN TOTALLY RELATE TO THE NEED FOR ANOTHER TYPE OF IMMERSION.
My: Yes, I have probably missed having another form of depth and development.
Trine: YES, AT THE END OF THE DAY IT IS ONLY JUST CLOTHES, BUT THAT IS ALSO A GOOD COMBINATION… TO WORK WITH THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR AT THE SAME TIME.
My: Yes, for me clothes are also a rare expression and in a way it is a good combination that gives my profession as a stylist a completely new dimension and more substance.
Trine: YES AND YOU CERTAINLY ALSO BECOME A BETTER STYLIST BY KNOWING MORE ABOUT PEOPLE AND THEIR INNER-WORKINGS INSTEAD OF ONLY LOOKING AT IF THEY HAVE SHORT OR LONG LEGS.
My: Yes, and now when I am doing X-Factor again where I style all of Thomas Blachman’s team, which I have done for the past 5 years, I feel I have a completely new approach to working with the different artists' potentials. According to facereading, we all consist of different elements, but one or two will be dominating, and it is either; earth, metal, fire, water or wood. Each element has a meaning for your potential, and it is often the case that the person has suppressed one or more of their elements and therefore are out of balance. This could be caused by being pushed too much in the wrong direction as a child, or that the surroundings didn’t acknowledge your personality and thereby you have
slowly learned to adapt and therefore suppress your elements. It is here that facereading can help to see these possibilities as an eye-opening way to connect to your core, and it would be super exciting to see the new contestants and what elements they possess and see which we collectively want to turn up or down by styling.
Trine: YES, SO THE STAGING BECOMES AN EXTENSION OF THIS…
My: Yes, now I can do sessions with each contestant to tune into if they use their elements and thereby their potential to the fullest and in facereading we say that if you suppress an element, then your soul is not in your body.
Trine: THAT ALL SOUNDS SUPER EXCITING AND MAYBE WE WILL BE SEEING A COMPLETELY NEW VERSION OF THOMAS BLACHMANN… WHO KNOWS 😊
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME DARLING MY, AND BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR EDUCATION.
